France is a notoriously tricky place for dining out when you are coeliac/celiac, unless of course you are in Paris, which has a wonderful array of gluten free bakeries and restaurants. And I have a Paris guide for you brimming with tasty treats, baguettes and pastries.
Outside of Paris, France is one of the hardest Europe countries in which to be gluten free and coeliac as awareness of the condition is low and not much attention is paid to the importance of avoiding cross contamination. It still amazes me that the French aren’t more coeliac-savvy when their neighbours in Spain and Italy are so fantastic, but there you go.
